Closed in Florence: Towers & Museums

Giotto Bell Tower & The Marino Marini Museum

As you make your vacation itinerary plans this November, here are a few dates you need to remember.

The Giotto Bell Tower, located next to the Duomo and one of the five elements included in the OPA pass, will be closed to visitors for ordinary maintenance from the Monday the 13th of November till Friday the 17th of November, 2017.  Of course, it will always be visible for fabulous photos – you just won’t be able to climb up the 414 steps to the very top.

However, if what you are looking for is a panorama from above (maybe without all those steps)  then check out one of these options where you can get a sunset view and a twilight apertivio as well. 😉

The Marino Marini Museum in Florence will be closed from the 6th of November until the spring of 2018 for the renovation of the air conditioning system. It will be possible to visit the Museum and the Cappella Rucellai in groups only and only upon request.

However, for those who are interested in seeing work by Marino Marini, you can head over to Pistoia and also have a look at the on going special exhibition: “Miró e Marino. I colori del Mediterraneo” open until the 7th of January and the exhibition MARINO MARINI. PASSIONI VISIVE.
