Astronomy and celestial phenomena lovers cannot miss a visit to the fascinating planetarium in Florence.
The planetarium, situated in the city center, features a dome with diameter of 8 metres, and seats up to 54 people.
The planetarium in Florence is part of the Fondazione Scienza e Tecnica which organizes visits for adults and children as well as special lessons for school students.
Visiting the Planetarium
The visits and thematic events organized at the planetarium are led by experienced astronomers of the Astrophysical Observatory of Arcetri in Florence. Reservations are required for all visits to the planetarium (details on the right column).
During your visit, you will be able to gaze at a reproduction of the movement of the celestial bodies, observe the position of the stars at different latitudes and many other interesting facts about our solar system.
